Volunteers are vital to the livelihood of the Humane Society for Southwest Washington.
They expand our programs, stretch our resources, and help save countless lives.
Age Requirements for Volunteers
*Youth 12 through 14 years of age may volunteer at the Shelter as a team with a parent.
*Those 15-18 years of age may volunteer with parental signature.
*There is no upper age limit for volunteers.
*Youth under the age of 12 may contribute by collecting donations of aluminum cans and
newspapers, preparing the newspapers to use in the kennels, making paper litter boxes,
helping in fundraising, and requesting presentations by our humane educator at their
schools and clubs.
Volunteer Orientations and training classes are required and provided bi-monthly. If you are interested in becoming an HSSW life-saving volunteer please call 360-693-4746.
